We implemented the “Guru Shishya Hastshilp Prashikshan Programme” from 25th June to 28th August 2025 in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, with support from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The program focused on empowering 30 minority women by providing structured training in traditional block printing techniques. It aimed to create sustainable livelihood opportunities by integrating traditional crafts with modern market trends and consumer demands.
Through hands-on training and mentorship, all participants became proficient in the block printing process. The program also facilitated exposure through exhibitions, haats, fairs, and online platforms to promote their products. As a result, 18 women artisans successfully started earning, contributing to their household income and financial independence.
